Woman alleges motorist ran red light on Route 159

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist alleges a Bethalto woman ran a red light and caused a car crash. 

Lisa Land filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in Madison County Circuit Court against Alexis G. Harvey, alleging the driver was speeding and ran a red light.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was traveling on Illinois Route 159 near its intersection with Illinois Route 140 when the defendant drove through the intersection and crashed into the plaintiff's vehicle. 

Land claims she sustained serious injuries to her face, chest, neck, and leg, the complaint states. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $50,000, plus costs and expenses. She is represented by Justin Wilson, Brad Elkin and Andrea Stanley of Brown & Crouppen PC in St. Louis.
