Car accident 19

BELLEVILLE — A woman injured in a 2017 crash on Interstate 64 accuses another driver of reckless driving.

Patricia Ostendorf filed a complaint on Aug. 27 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Teara Williams and Jose DeHerrera Jr.

According to the complaint, Williams slammed into the passenger side of Osterndorf's car while traveling westbound on Interstate 64, causing the vehicle to roll. Ostendorf suffered severe and disabling injuries resulting in great pain, mental anguish and medical expenses, the complaint states.

Ostendorf alleges Teara was intoxicated and speeding at the time of the accident. She accuses DeHerrera of negligently entrusting his vehicle to Williams.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by Bruce R. Cook of Cook, Bartholomew, Shevlin & Cook LLP in Belleville.
