Pinnacle Electronic Systems accuse father, son of negligence in car accident

BELLEVILLE — The employer of a man injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident recently brought a lawsuit against a father and son.

Pinnacle Electronic Systems Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 27 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Steven E. Marshall and William J. Marshall.

According to the complaint, William Marshall allowed his son Steven to take his Ford Escort. On Highway 159, Steven Marshall collided with a truck driven by William Wagner, an employee of Pinnacle Electronic Systems, the complaint states. 

The company alleges Steven Marshall fled the scene. Pinnacle also claims Steven Marshall drove the Ford Escort while under the influence of alcohol.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. The company is represented by Michael L. McGlynn of McGlynn & McGlynn in Belleville.
