Car accident 33

EDWARDSVILLE — Godfrey resident accuses a driver and his employers of negligence after a car accident that left her injured.

Mary Ann Williams filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in Madison County Circuit Court against Willis Faries, General Parts Distribution LLC, Advance Auto Parts and Wheels Inc.

According to the complaint, Williams was traveling south on Washington Avenue when Faries entered the lane and crashed into her. She claims she suffered severe and disabling injuries to her neck, back, shoulders, elbows and knees.

Faries was cited for not yielding, the complaint states.

Williams alleges Faries' employers -- General Parts Distribution, Advance Auto Parts and Wheels Inc. -- should have known about his problematic driving history and not entrusted him with a company vehicle.

Williams requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Christopher R. Dixon of the Dixon Injury Firm in St. Louis.
