BELLEVILLE — A motorist accuses a bank employee of causing a crash on North Belt East Street.

Rosie Williams filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against First Federal Savings Bank of Mascoutah and employee Paige Paul.

According to the complaint, Paul was driving a company-owned minivan when she slammed in the back of Williams' Kia Rio. Williams alleges Paul was talking on her cell phone and speeding before the crash.

Williams claims she sustained injuries to her head, chest, neck, back, right hip, right knee and pelvis.

Williams requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus interest. She is represented by Amanda N. Murphy of Goldblatt & Singer in St. Louis.
