KANSAS CITY –– Dozens of lawyers with the Polsinelli law firm received accolades this month by The Best Lawyers peer review group.

Nine lawyers with the firm were honored as "Lawyers of the Year" for 2019 and another 156 were selected for the 2019 Best Lawyers list.

“We congratulate our nine ‘Lawyers of the Year’ for this honored distinction, and applaud their strategic work and unsurpassed dedication to providing outstanding client service at every turn,” Russ Welsh, Polsinelli chairman and CEO, said. “We are also proud of the 156 attorneys who achieved ‘The Best Lawyers in America’ designation, which demonstrates the strong, quality work our attorneys are doing every day to ensure we not only meet, but exceed our clients’ expectations.”

In every metropolis, only one lawyer in each practice area is awarded recognition as “Lawyer of the Year.” Over half the Polsinelli lawyers selected this year are previous honorees. Best Lawyers has recognized shareholder Dan Flanigan six separate times. This is the third time Robert Henderson has made the prestigious list.

Flanigan’s areas of expertise include real estate law, banking and finance and bankruptcy litigation. His team of 180 represents diverse real estate and financial services clients. Recently, Flanigan has focused on the commercial mortgage backed securities industry (CMBS). Finance lawyers under Flanigan’s supervision have closed over $39 billion in CMBS, commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans.

Henderson specializes in commercial litigation, financial and securities litigation, insurance recovery, litigation and dispute resolution, products liability and financial regulatory enforcement. He has represented multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Polsinelli was awarded a spot on the 2018 Am Law 100 list less than four months before the 2019 Best Lawyers rankings were announced. The firm was ranked No. 69 on the list, five spots higher than it was last year.
