BELLEVILLE — A former patient blames his doctors for worsening infections and kidney failure.
Steven Judson filed a complaint on July 27 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Kevin Stuckey, Dr. Patrick Zimmermann, Family Medicine Associates, Dr. Grant Gerdelman, Southwestern Illinois Health Facilities and Legatus Emergency Services of Southern Illinois.
According to the complaint, Judson's doctors did not properly diagnose and treat his strep throat and a spinal abscess. Judson claims this lack of care resulted in worsening infections, kidney failure, pain and anguish, and substantial medical expenses.
Judson requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $75,000. He is represented by Thomas Q. Keefe Jr. of Keefe, Keefe & Unsell in Belleville.
