Healthcare provider sues patient for unpaid bills

EDWARDSVILLE — A healthcare provider is suing a patient for allegedly failing to make payments on his medical bills. 

OSF Healthcare System, doing business as OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony's Health Center, filed a complaint on July 31 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Robert McDonald, alleging he failed to pay his bills.

According to the complaint, OSF Healthcare System alleges that between Nov. 29, 2016 and Dec. 2, 2016, the plaintiff provided various medical services to McDonald at his request in the total sum of $50,554.05. To date, the said amount remains due and owing. 

The plaintiff alleges that despite demands for payments, the defendant has failed to do so.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the amount of $50,554.05, plus interest, costs and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. It is represented by Stephen M. Morris of Habecker, Morris & Dluski LLC in Peoria.
