EDWARDSVILLE — Doc Holiday Saloon and Eatery faces a lawsuit after an allegedly intoxicated patron left the restaurant and crashed into a motorcyclist.

Nicole M. Koleske filed the complaint on July 31 in Madison County Circuit Court against 308 MacArthur Inc., which operates the business, alleging violations of the Dram Shop Act.

According to the complaint, John W. Karmer left the Cottage Hills restaurant in his vehicle and hit Koleske. Besides damage to her motorcycle, Koleske claims she sustained severe and permanent injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs and all further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by Gregory M. Tobin of Pratt & Tobin in East Alton.
