BELLEVILLE — A woman claims she was injured when she tripped and fell in the Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill parking lot.

Deanna Hilpert filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Barbeque Integrated Inc., the parent company of Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill in Fairview Heights.

According to the complaint, Hilpert alleges she tripped and fell over a metal pipe in the restaurant's parking lot. She claims she suffered injuries to her head, legs, arms, shoulder and eye.

Hilpert blames the restaurant for allowing the metal pipe to protrude without warning visitors or providing adequate lighting.

Hilpert seeks a jury trial and damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by attorney John H. Hustava in Collinsville.
