EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County motorist is suing a another driver for allegedly causing an Edwardsville collision.

Travis Cage filed a complaint on July 26 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Vanessa Gall, alleging she breached her duty to exercise reasonable care to avoid colliding with other vehicles.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 19, 2016, he was traveling east on Governor's Parkway and was about to turn left on Edwardsville Crossing when Gall rear-ended his vehicle.

He claims he sustained severe injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Gall responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to reduce speed, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to use evasive maneuvers to avoid the accident.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs and all other relief that are proper and just. He is represented by Matthew P. Young of Kuehn, Beasley & Young PC in Belleville.
