EDWARDSVILLE — A woman filed a Dram Shop suit after she was allegedly injured in a collision with an intoxicated driver.

Haley Russell filed a complaint on July 19 in the Madison County Circuit Court against The Wooden Nickel Pub & Grill Inc., et al., alleging they violated the Dram Shop Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 22, 2017, she was injured when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a crash due to the carelessness of an intoxicated driver.

She claims she suffered personal injuries to her head, neck, back, legs, feet and ankles.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly negligently sold or gave alcoholic beverage to a customer, who became intoxicated and impaired.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against each defendant in a sum exceeding $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
