Car accident 39

BELLEVILLE — A woman claims she struck a parked car after another motorist rear-ended her vehicle.

Wealthie Walker filed a complaint on July 11 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Darren Eggemann, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 26, 2016, she was sitting within her parked vehicle on East A Street near Pennsylvania Avenue when Eggemann allegedly struck the rear of her vehicle, causing it to collide with an unoccupied parked vehicle.

Walker claims she suffered severe and permanent injuries to her head, neck, back, shoulders and body extremities.

The plaintiff holds Eggemann responsible because the defendant allegedly drove at an excessive speed, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to keep her vehicle under proper control.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in a sum exceeding $50,000, plus costs of this action. She is represented by Justin B. Mattea of Justin B. Mattea Law LLC in Maryville.
