BELLEVILLE — A motorist and passenger claim another driver turned in front of them, causing a collision.

Charles Keilman and Helen Keilman filed a complaint on July 19, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Erika Fry, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 16, they were in a motor vehicle traveling east on Lincoln Trail when Fry, who was exiting north from 10850 Lincoln Trail, negligently attempted to turn west on the same road and caused a collision. As a result, the plaintiffs claims their vehicle struck Fry's vehicle.

The plaintiffs claim they sustained injuries incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiffs hold Fry responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain proper lookout, failed to yield right of way and breached her duty to exercise reasonable care while operating a motor vehicle.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 and all other relief that are proper and just. They are represented by Kirk A. Caponi of Williams, Caponi & Associates PC in Belleville.
