BELLEVILLE — An Illinois Highway 161 crash prompted a lawsuit against the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois and an employee.
Margaret Weigmann filed a complaint on June 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against the Epilepsy Foundation and Brad Crowlby.
According to the complaint, Crowlby struck the rear of Weigmann's vehicle while she traveled eastbound on Illinois Highway 161. She received injuries to her neck, shoulders and back, the complaint states. Weigmann says Crowl is responsible because he was speeding and did not brake fast enough.
Weigmann seeks a jury trial and damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by Thomas C. Rich of Rich, Rich & Cooksey in Fairview Heights.
