BELLEVILLE — Two women accuse a motorist of negligently driving outside an Aldi parking lot in Swansea.
Kariah Buckmire and Burnadette Spiller filed a complaint on June 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Michael Burns.
According to the complaint, Burns hit the side of Buckmire's vehicle as she traveled south on Illinois Route 159 in Swansea. Spiller was a passenger in Buckmire's car, the complaint states. The women claim they sustained injuries to various parts of their bodies, resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering and lost wages.
The plaintiffs request a jury trial and damages of more than $50,000. They are represented by Thomas C. Rich of Rich, Rich & Cooksey in Fairview Heights.
