EDWARDSVILLE — A man claims he was injured at the Troy McDonald's when he slipped on ice and snow in the restaurant parking lot.

Rick G. Hawkes filed the complaint on July 5 in Madison County Circuit Court against C-Mac Inc., which does business as McDonald's No. 7249 in Troy, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Hawkes slipped and fell on an “unnatural accumulation of ice and snow.”

As a result, the plaintiff claims he suffered injuries to his back and shoulder.

Hawkes alleges the defendant failed to properly maintain its parking lot.

Hawkes seeks damages of more than $50,000.

He is represented by Edward J. Szewczyk of Callis, Papa & Szewczyk in Granite City.
