EDWARDSVILLE — Three individuals are suing  motorist for allegedly causing a collision. 

Vernon Kimbro, Andrea Kimbro and Emily Donkers filed a complaint on June 5 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Rachael Lalich, alleging she negligently drove her vehicle while distracted.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they were in a motor vehicle on Aug. 22, 2016, when the defendant allegedly caused her vehicle to crash into their vehicle. 

The plaintiffs claim they sustained injuries, resulting in disabilities, disfigurement, pain, anguish and medical expenses. 

The plaintiffs allege the defendant failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield and failed to properly apply the brakes to stop her vehicle.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in an amount that exceeds $50,000, plus the costs of this action and any other relief that the court deems appropriate.
