EDWARDSVILLE — A medical center claims a patient has failed to make payments.
Granite City Illinois Hospital Co. LLC, doing business as Gateway Regional Medical Center, filed a complaint May 25 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Richard Perigo alleging that the patient failed to pay medical bills.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on numerous occasions, the plaintiff provided medical treatment, goods and services to the defendant on credit, and the defendant agreed to pay. The amount of $118,761.08 allegedly remains due. The plaintiff holds Perigo responsible because, despite demands for payments, the defendant has allegedly failed and refused to pay.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $118,761.08, plus $5,000 in attorney fees and costs of this suit. He is represented by Richard A. Mixson of Miller & Steeno PC in St. Louis.
