EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist seeks damages following a Foster Township collision.
Michelle Harris filed a complaint on May 21 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Michelle Olson, alleging she breached her duty to exercise reasonable care for the safety of others.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 7, 2016, she was driving a 2008 Toyota Corolla traveling northbound on IL-255 Exit 16 near its intersection with Seminary Road in Foster Township when Olson struck the rear of her vehicle.
Harris claims she sustained injuries to her neck, left shoulder and back.
The plaintiff alleges Olson negligently drove her vehicle too fast for the existing condition, failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to take evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
She is represented by Samuel A. Mormino Jr. of Mormino, Velloff & Snider PC in Alton.
