EDWARDSVILLE — Several individuals are suing two motorists following a multi-vehicle collision in Edwardsville.
Judy Holbert, individually and as guardian and next friend of Alliana Siegler, filed a complaint on May 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Taylor Irons and Mickey Gillespie, alleging negligence.
Nikki Hunter, individually and as mother and next friend of Mariah Hunter, also filed a separate complaint on May 15 against Irons and Gillespie.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 30, 2017, they were traveling along Governor's Parkway and were stopped near its intersection with Troy Road when Gillespie struck Irons' vehicle, causing it to collide with the plaintiffs' vehicle.
The plaintiffs claim they suffered severe injuries to their bodies, medical expenses and pain and sufferings.
They allege holds the defendants negligently drove their respective vehicles in a careless manner, failed to obey the traffic control device and failed to reduce speed or stop to avoid a collision.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this action.
