Woman accuses two motorists of negligence

Car accident 15

EDWARDSVILLE — A woman is suing Taylor Irons and Mickey Gillespie, two motorists, for alleged taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Nikki Hunter, mother and next friend of Mariah Hunter, filed a complaint on May 15 in the Madison County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to maintain proper control of their motor vehicles.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she and her daughter were traveling on Governor's Parkway when Gillespie allegedly struck Irons' vehicle, which allegedly then collided with the plaintiff's vehicle. As a result, the plaintiff claims that she and her daughter sustained severe injuries and incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to reduce their speed or stop their vehicles in order to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds $50,000, plus court costs.

She is represented by Brian M. Wendler, Angie Zinzilieta and Paul E.H. Rademacher of Wendler Law PC in Edwardsville.
