EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County insurer is accused of failing to make payment under an uninsured motorist policy after a crash in St. Louis.

Johnny Clover and Kisha Cotton Clover filed a complaint May 9 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Unique Insurance Co. and Unique Insurance Managers Inc., alleging they failed to pay under their coverage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 16, 2016, they were involved in a crash caused by an uninsured driver in St. Louis.

They claim they suffered injuries and incurred medical expenses of approximately $45,000.

The plaintiffs allege they made a demand for the defendant to make a payment under the uninsured motorist policy. They claim the defendants failed and refused to pay the amounts owed as required by the policy.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount between $50,000 and $75,000.

They are represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
