Woman sues over Belleville rear-end collision

Car accident 01

BELLEVILLE — A motorist claims she was rear-ended by another driver in Belleville.

Linda M. Naumann filed a complaint on May 14 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Gina M. Gill, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 20, 2016, she was traveling south on South Illinois Street near its intersection with West Cleveland Avenue in Belleville when Gill collided with the rear of her vehicle.

Naumann claims she suffered bodily injuries that resulted in great pain and anguish, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Gill negligently drove her vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable, failed to keep proper and sufficient lookout and failed to stop to avoid colliding with her vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs of this action.

She is represented by Clay B. St. Clair of Crowder & Scoggins Ltd. in Columbia.
