BELLEVILLE — A man claims he was injured when roofing materials were thrown from an office building and landed on his head.

Thomas Plog filed a complaint on May 3 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Taylor Roofing Solutions Inc., Allsup Inc. and James F. Allsup, alleging they failed to discard roofing materials in a safe and reasonable manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 18, 2016, he was in an office building when roofing materials landed on top of his head, causing him to collapse and fall.

Plog claims he sustained serious and permanent injuries to his head, ears, neck, back and shoulders.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to keep proper lookout or view persons walking on the sidewalk of the building and failed to warn invitees before throwing or tossing discarded materials.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action.

He is represented by Patrick G. King of MillerKing LLC in East Alton.
