Motorist sues over Route 3 collision

Car accident 02

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist alleges she was injured in a collision on Illinois Route 3.

Brandy McCullough filed a complaint on April 26 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Glennon Brown and Don Heil Oil Company, alleging Don Heil entrusted its vehicle to an unsafe and incompetent driver.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 29, 2016, she was traveling south on Illinois Route 3 and was turning onto Missouri Avenue when Brown carelessly operated a vehicle owned by Don Heil and caused it to crash into the plaintiff's vehicle.

As a result, McCullough claims she suffered injuries and incurred medical bills.

The plaintiff alleges Brown carelessly drove the vehicle too fats for the condition, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to yield, slacken speed or stop to avoid striking another vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this action and any further relief as the court may deem proper and just.

She is represented by George H. Albers of Albers Law LLC in Granite City.
