EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist and passenger allege they were injured in a collision on Illinois 162.

Richard M. Miller and Susanne B. Miller filed a complaint on April 18 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Molly E. Warner, alleging she failed to operate her motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 6, 2017, they were in a 2013 Nissan Altima traveling westbound on IL-162 at Lake Drive when Warner, who was coming from the opposite direction, negligently attempted to make a left hand turn and collided with their vehicle.

They claim they sustained serious and permanent injuries, resulting in medical expenses, great pain and anguish, and impairment in performing daily activities.

The plaintiffs allege Warner failed to keep proper lookout, failed to reduce speed or stop, failed to yield and carelessly made an improper turn to oncoming traffic.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages of not less than $50,000, plus costs of this action.

They are represented by Randall P. Steele of Steele Law Offices LLC in Glen Carbon.
