EDWARDSVILLE — A woman claims she was injured when a driver attempted a U-turn and crashed into her vehicle.

Lana Schaefer filed a complaint April 9 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Christina Glinn, alleging she failed to keep her vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 11, 2016, she was traveling south on State Route 159 in Edwardsville when Glinn attempted to make a U-turn in front of her vehicle, causing a collision. Schaefer claims the crash resulted in pain and suffering as well as lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Glinn negligently made an illegal U-turn, did not keep a proper lookout and failed to yield the right of way.

The plaintiff seeks a judgment in her favor in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs of the lawsuit.

She is represented by Jane Unsell of Unsell, Schattnik & Phillips PC in Wood River.
