EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist alleges a Gwillim Trucking employee caused a collision on Pontoon Road.
Timothy W. Free filed a complaint on April 4 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Gwillim Trucking Inc., alleging its employee failed to maintain control of the vehicle he was driving.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 11, 2016, he was driving a vehicle traveling eastbound on Pontoon Road near its intersection with Route 3 when Gwillim's employee, Travis R. Tipps, caused a collision.
Free claims he sustained grievous and painful injuries to his neck, ankle, leg and hip.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant's employee failed to keep proper lookout and failed to take evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus court costs.
