BELLEVILLE — A patient is suing Athletic Therapy Center for allegedly failing to appropriately treat his condition.
Daryl Jones filed a complaint on April 6 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Athletic Therapy Center PC, alleging it failed to provide proper training and supervision to its employees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 27, 2016, he began receiving physical therapy treatment at Athletic Therapy Center. He alleges the defendant's employees failed to have him perform exercises that were appropriate to his condition and failed to objectively observe, assess and evaluate his condition.
As a result, Jones claims he suffered extreme pain and discomfort to his right shoulder and underwent arthroscopy and debridement with open exploration of biceps tenodesis on Sept. 7, 2016.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
