BELLEVILLE — A motorist claims she was injured in a collision on Rand Lane Road.
Gloria Hale-Crisp filed a complaint on March 27 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Brittney Nitz and Douglas Nitz, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 5, 2016, she was traveling north on Rand Lane Road when Brittney Nitz negligently operated a vehicle owned by Douglas Nitz and caused it to collide with the plaintiff's vehicle.
The plaintiff alleges Brittney Nitz breached her duty to keep her vehicle under proper control by failing to obey a traffic signal, failing to yield right of way and failing to keep proper lookout. She also alleges Douglas Nitz negligently entrusted his vehicle to a careless driver.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this suit.
