Former HRB Resources worker alleges wrongful termination

BELLEVILLE — A former HRB Resources employee alleges the company discriminated against her due to her age. 

Maria Juarez filed a complaint March 16 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against HRB Resources, alleging the employer violated the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was subjected to a hostile work environment, was retaliated against and terminated for reported age discrimination. 

As a result, Juarez claims she lost wages and fringe benefits. She also claims she experienced emotional distress, pain and suffering and other pecuniary and non-pecuniary losses. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs expended herein. 

She is represented by Michael J. Brunton and Mary M. Stewart of Brunton Law Offices PC in Collinsville.
