BELLEVILLE — A woman claims she was injured when she slipped and fell on a pool of liquid at Jones Banquet Plaza.
Olivia Butler filed a complaint on March 20 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jone Plaza LLC, doing business as Jones Banquet Plaza, alleging it breached its duty to maintain the premises in a reasonable safe condition.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2016, she was injured at Jones Banquet Plaza when she slipped and fell on a pool of liquid on the floor.
Butler claims she suffered severe and permanent injuries, resulting in pain and anguish, loss of income and became liable to expend large sums of money for medical care and services.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to conduct reasonable inspections to discover a dangerous condition, failed to make the premises safe and failed to provide warning that such danger existed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in a sum in excess of $50,000, plus costs of suit.
She is represented by Gregory Tobin of Pratt & Tobin PC in East Alton.
