BELLEVILLE — A pedestrian is suing a motorist for allegedly hitting her on Sherman Street in Belleville.
Kathleen Call filed a complaint on March 16 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Shirley Crow, alleging she breached her duty to exercise due care for the safety of others.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 3, 2017, she was a pedestrian at a property located at 913 Sherman Street in Bellville when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Crow.
As a result, Call claims she suffered injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of income and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Crow failed to keep careful lookout, failed to yield right of way and failed to apply brakes to avoid striking pedestrians.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in a fair and reasonable amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of court.
She is represented by Daniel K. Junker of Daniel K. Junker PC in Belleville and Jason B. Going of Law Office of Jason B. Going in Belleville.
