EDWARDSVILLE — A Bethalto resident is suing operators of the Altitude Trampoline Park, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Anton Gares filed a complaint March 2 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Michael Anderson, Heather Anderson, et al., alleging they breached their duties to properly supervise and maintain their business equipment in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 14, 2016, he was injured at the defendants' Altitude Trampoline Park.

Gares claims he had serious and permanent injuries to his legs that resulted in physical impairment, pain and suffering, mental anguish and disability as well as lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly train and supervise their staff on the proper use of the trampoline courts and negligently allowed the trampoline to be constructed in a way that was unsafe for its intended use.

The plaintiff seeks a judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of jurisdictional limits of the court, litigation costs and all other relief deemed just and reasonable.

He is represented by G. Michael Stewart of Simmons Hanly Conroy LLC in Alton.
