BELLEVILLE – A man alleges another driver caused a collision in Swansea when she failed to obey a traffic sign.

Anthony Randle filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Barbara Rowell, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 5, 2016, he was driving a motor vehicle and was stopped on North Illinois Street near its intersection with Frank Scott Parkway in Swansea when Rowell caused her vehicle to collide with his vehicle.

Randle claims he sustained severe and permanent injuries, both internally and externally, resulting in great pain and anguish.

The plaintiff alleges Rowell negligently drove her vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and failed to stop or yield to the right of way in compliance with a traffic sign.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000 plus costs of this action.

He is represented by Kenneth B. Beljanski of Brown & Brown LLP in Fairview Heights.
