Motorist sues over Route 140 crash

EDWARDSVILLE — A driver is suing another motorist for allegedly hitting his parked vehicle on Illinois Route 140. 

Zacheus A. Kimbrough filed a complaint on March 1 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Mallory W. Wuellner, alleging she breached her duty to operate a vehicle in a careful manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 14, 2016, he was in an vehicle and was parked on the east side of Illinois Route 140 near its intersection with Washington Avenue in Alton when the defendant's vehicle collided with his vehicle. 

As a reult, Kimbrough claims he has suffered extensive injuries to his neck that resulted in necessary medical expenses, pain and suffering and lost wages. 

The plaintiff alleges Wuellner negligently drove her vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to stop or slacken speed to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this suit and any other relief that is just and proper.
