EDWARDSVILLE – A Mississippi resident alleges his employer failed to pay his insurance premiums despite withholding deductions from his paycheck.

James K. Harmon filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Merx Global Inc., alleging breach of contract and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 12, 2017, he suffered injuries that occurred during the course and scope of his employment with the defendant.

Harmon alleges he suffered injuries that required emergency treatment and prevented him from working. He claims that after submitting his medical bills, he learned the defendant failed to pay insurance premiums on his behalf despite withholding deductions from his paycheck.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, prejudgment interest and costs of the action.

He is represented by Brian M. Wendler, Angie Zinzilieta and Paul Rademacher of Wendler Law PC in Edwardsville.
