Motorist seeks damages after rear-end collision in Brooklyn

BELLEVILLE – A St. Louis man alleges he was injured in a rear-end collision in Brooklyn.

Freddie Hill Jr. filed a complaint on Feb. 1 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Deidra J. McCoy and John Doe, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 30, 2016, he was traveling eastbound on Route 3 at its intersection with Jefferson Street in Brooklyn when his vehicle was struck from the rear by the defendants.

As a result, he alleges he sustained extensive injuries to his neck, back, head and limbs. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to maintain a careful lookout  and failed to timely and properly apply brakes to stop before striking the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks damages of no less than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
