EDWARDSVILLE – A driver is seeking more than $50,000 over alleged injuries sustained in a Bethalto crash.
Rebecca J. Burklow filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Matthew M. Meyer, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 6, 2016, she was driving a 2000 Ford vehicle west on state Route 140 near its intersection with state Route 255 in Bethalto. She claims Meyer negligently operated his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and caused it to collide with her vehicle.
As a result, Burklow alleges she suffered extensive injury to her back, pain and suffering, large amount of medical expenses and lost wages.
The plaintiff alleges Meyer negligently drove his vehicle at a speed greater than what was reasonable and failed to use evasive maneuvers to avoid the collision.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in a sum of more than $50,000, plus costs of court and all other relief that is just and proper.
She is represented by Rodney D. Caffey and Ralph J. Mendelson of The Caffey Law Firm LLC in Godfrey.
