Motorist alleges Cloverleaf Golf Course employee's negligence caused Alton collision

EDWARDSVILLE – A Madison County man alleges he suffered injuries when a golf course employee rear-ended his vehicle in Alton.

Michael Miller filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Mark Cantrall, Cloverleaf Golf Course, et al., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 19, 2016, he was operating a 2000 Hyundai Sonata traveling westbound on Homer Adams Parkway in Alton and was stopped with the intention to turn left onto Grovelin Street. The plaintiff claims Cantrall, who was acting in the course and scope of his employment with Cloverleaf, struck the rear of his vehicle. 

The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries to his back, neck, shoulders and head. 

Miller alleges Cantrall failed to maintain vigilant lookout and failed to make proper maneuvers to avoid collision.

The plaintiff seeks damages greater than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
