Collinsville church alleges it paid more than $220,000 for renovations that weren't completed

Contract 04

EDWARDSVILLE – A Collinsville church alleges a Dupo company and Columbia man failed to complete renovations they were hired to do.

Good Samaritan Church of the Nazarene filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the Madison County Circuit Court against A New Identity Group LLC and Ron Hebel, alleging fraud and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February 2016, the plaintiff contracted the defendants for the renovation of its church. From March 2016 to January 2017, the plaintiff alleges it made a total payment of $228,033.70 to the defendants.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to complete the contracted work in a timely and workmanlike manner and failed to pay their subcontractors for the completed services.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus all other additional relief that the court may deem just and proper.

It is represented by Joseph R. Harvath of Byron Carlson Petri & Kalb LLC in Edwardsville.
