St. Louis Law Firm Fox Galvin LLC announces former assistant Missouri attorney general as partner

ST. LOUIS – Fox Galvin LLC announced in January that it added two partners to its firm, former Missouri assistant attorney general Sarah B. Mangelsdorf and previous liability analyst Michael E. Donelson.

Sarah Mangelsdorf previously worked as assistant attorney general for Missouri in the Agriculture and Environmental Division, litigating cases involving various Missouri environmental laws and regulations. In this capacity, she provided legal counsel to many governmental agencies on environmental law and policy, administrative law, energy efficiency and hazardous substances in the workplace.

Mangelsdorf was selected for the 2017 Missouri Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed on 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state. Winners are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. 

Mangelsdorf has also served as vice chair for the Missouri Bar Administrative Law Committee, recently being reappointed for the 2017-2018 term. Mangelsdorf focuses her practice with Fox Galvin in environmental and administrative law. 

Donelson focuses on trial practice and civil litigation with an emphasis on professional liability, personal injury and product liability defense. He was a liability analyst for more than 10 years in the insurance industry. Donelson has won multiple cases with a variety of strategies, and according to the Fox Galvin LLC website, his philosophy is to be prepared and solution-oriented.

Donelson has extensive experience in developing case strategy for complex litigation cases, including the identification and retention of appropriate expert witnesses, deposition of key witnesses and experts, and developing trial strategy, according to the Fox Galvin website. He has extensive trial experience from having primary responsibility for both jury and bench trials in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Illinois.

Located in downtown St. Louis, Fox Galvin focuses on the preparation and trial of high-level lawsuits in the city of St. Louis, Madison County and St. Clair County. Fox Galvin has experienced counsel in electronic discovery, employment law, environmental law, health law, maritime defense, mediation and arbitration, product liability, privacy and data security, professional liability and transportation.

Fox Galvin, established in 2001, has 15 members of counsel with a variety of expertise in the Metro area. Fox Galvin participated in the 2017 Honorable Richard B. Teitelman Pro Bono Challenge, pledging 10 hours of pro bono work per attorney; and was the recipient of the Corporate LiveWire Global Award in 2016.
