Driver alleges woman ran stop sign, caused Mascoutah collision

BELLEVILLE – A woman is seeking damages from a driver who allegedly ignored a stop sign and caused a collision in Mascoutah.

Eve Redman filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Nicole Kuhn, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 20, she was traveling on Route 177 near its intersection with North County Line Road in Mascoutah when Kuhn allegedly entered her lane of traffic and struck her vehicle. 

As a result, Redman claims she suffered a fractured sternum, injury to her spine and head trauma that resulted in great pain and mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of gainful employment. 

The plaintiff alleges Kuhn failed to maintain proper lookout and failed to obey a stop sign.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no less than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
