Driver alleges failure to yield to the right of way caused St. Clair Township collision

Car accident 32

BELLEVILLE – A motorist claims another driver's failure to properly turn within an intersection caused a collision in St. Clair Township.

Matthew E. Cauble filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Brandon A. Reno, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 6, 2017, he was driving his 2003 Ford Crown Victoria northbound on Old Collinsville Road in St. Clair Township when the defendant collided with his vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges he sustained severe and permanent injuries to his head, face, chest and other parts of his body that resulted in great pain and mental anguish, lost wages and hospital and medical expenses.

Cauble alleges Reno failed to yield to the right of way and failed to stop before colliding with his vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action.

He is represented by Stephanie A. Black of Beatty & Motil Attorneys at Law in Glen Carbon.
