BELLEVILLE – A motorist is seeking damages from a driver who was allegedly traveling in the incorrect lane and caused a head-on collision.
Michael Landsness filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Larry D. Farrar, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 6, 2016, he was driving a motor vehicle north on state Route 203, approaching its intersection with Cahokia Canal. The suit states that the defendant was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of traffic and struck the plaintiff head-on.
Landsness alleges he sustained injuries that resulted in physical pain and debilitation and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Farrar failed to give any warning or signal of his approach and failed to yield.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in the amount of more than $50,000 but less than $75,000, costs of this action and any further relief as the court deems just and proper.
