Motorist alleges Alhambra woman ran stop sign, caused collision

EDWARDSVILLE – A driver is seeking more than $50,000 after an Alhambra woman allegedly disobeyed a stop sign and collided with his vehicle.

James J. Parizon filed a complaint on Dec. 22 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Britni R. Diesen, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 25, he was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on Daudermen Road near its intersection with Niggli Road outside of Alhambra Township when Diesen negligently entered the intersection and collided with his vehicle.

As a result, he claims he sustained injuries to his neck, back, hip and chest. 

The plaintiff alleges Diesen failed to maintain careful lookout, failed to yield to the right of way and failed to obey the stop sign at the intersection.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action.
