Woman seeks damages after US Highway 45 collision

EAST ST. LOUIS – An Indiana woman is seeking damages from an Illinois man after a collision on U.S. Highway 45.

Toni A. Eirwin-Casper filed a complaint on Dec. 21, 2017, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois against Caleb S. King, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 27, 2015, she was operating an automobile heading eastbound on U.S. Highway 45 nearing its intersection with Trolley Road when the defendant carelessly made a left turn into the path of her oncoming vehicle, causing a collision.

The plaintiff alleges King negligently failed to yield to the right of way.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant plus costs of suit.
