BELLEVILLE — A woman is suing property owners after she allegedly tripped and fell on the sidewalk.

Cynthia Henrichs filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against LMT Estates Ltd. and Yellow Brick Management Inc., alleging they breached their duties to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 23, 2015, she was lawfully on the defendants' premises when she tripped and fell due to a sudden drop in the sidewalk.

As a result, she claims she suffered a fractured leg that resulted in physical and emotional pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants negligently created the sidewalk that ends with a sudden drop and failed to provide adequate warning about the existence of a dangerous condition on the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against each defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of the action and any further relief as the court deems just.

She is represented by Derek J. Siegel of Kuehn, Beasley & Young PC in Belleville.
