BELLEVILLE — A woman is suing for malicious prosecution and wrongful garnishment on her private account for judgment against her ex-husband.

Thaddeus Teahan filed a complaint on Nov. 9, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Michael Gmanculich, alleging he abused and/or misused the garnishment law.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 31, a Missouri garnishment was executed on her private account for judgment against her ex-husband in the amount of $4,296.

The plaintiff alleges Gmanculich wrongfully submitted judgment to the St. Louis County Circuit Court listing her as a defendant and failed to withdraw the garnishment on her private account.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in the amount in excess of $50,000, plus all other relief the court deems just and proper.

He is represented by Corey L. Kraushaar of Brown & James PC in St. Louis and Samantha Unsell of Keefe, Keefe & Unsell PC in Belleville.
